Trend forecasting: colours and fabrics

 To decide which colours I should use for my major project I did some research on which colours are going to be predominant in next year's season.

I chose to base my research mostly on Coloro + WGSN. Coloro is a system for creatives, suppliers and manufacturers that work with colour. Per their page, "it is an intuitive, accurate approach to defining and communicating color". WGSN, on the other hand, is the global authority on consumer and designer trends. This is the milanote board I created for this research:

Not happy with the amount of colours I found, I decided to research on Pantone's colours as well. Here is Pantone's colour trend report for autumn/winter 2021/2022:

I decided to use variants of these tones to adapt them to my designs. For this, I mixed these tones with those of Bosch's painting, and after looking for fabrics on MyFabrics, here are the ones I will be using for my designs.

Light blue denim and jade green cotton puffer for the first look

Offwhite and burnt orange cotton for the second look

Alpine fleece in terracotta and cotton in dark grey for the last look
