Collaborative work
In our last week's session, we were paired up to create a collaborative piece. My partner for this project is Andrei Tarniceru. He is a fine art student and we both have a passion for tattoos, so that is what we decided to work on.
We chose to design a tattoo composed of an oni mask, a dragon and some cherry blossom flowers. Even though these elements might seem typical of asian influenced tattoos, we decided to work on our concept in a more western traditional style, using only black with some details in red.
Onis are a kind of yokai or demon from traditional Japanese folklore. They are typically portrayed as figures with one of more horns, usually two, growing out of their heads. Stereotipically they are conceived as red, blue of white.

Good that you have blogged this and you found a way to collaborate I look forward to final piece
