Set projects: First thoughts
This term, for the Art Portfolio class we have a set project. Here is the brief.
Among the three themes, I find the first one, "Purple Haze" unappealing, almost bland. And even though expressionism is a very interesting and subject it is far too abstract for me. Therefore I believe I will choose the second theme, "Earthly Delights". I have chosen this theme because of what I mentioned in the first post too; I visited the Prado Museum a month ago and I was truly inspired and mesmerized by the painting of the Earthly Delights.
I do not have a clear idea on how to apply this idea into my progression route and project, but the first idea I have when I think about te painting has to do with how detailed and interesting the painting is. Just like in the drawings I did, I might focus on small pieces of the painting instead of the whole vision.
Another option would be to divide a fashion collection of 6 looks in three sections, just like the painting. This way I can represent the three different worlds or scenes. I have two ideas to do this:
- In the first one I would create two looks for each scene, a male look and a female look.
- In the other one, each scene would have an outfit that represents the whole scene and another one that focuses on only one detail of the canvas.
Excellent and detailed first thoughts - good work
