Trend forecasting

 In order to design my collection, first I need to understand the trends ongoing during the time in which my designs will be "sold", Summer 20201. The next trends are what I found out that I will be incorporating into my looks:

Bold shoulders:

Inspired in the 80's looks but more exaggerated and not-so-subtle peaks.

Puffy sleeves images

Pastel colours:

This tendency to soft tones has already been seen in previous seasons and will stay for this year too with shades like buttercup yellow, lilac, peony pink...

Cinched waists:

Per Bazaar (12 Standout trends from the Spring 2021 runways), "the waist has it for spring". The use of belts and corsets to create shape on the body will be more relevant than ever, looking for contrast with other elements like the bold shoulders. The next point is related to this concept as well;

Upper Midriffs and crop tops:

Wether upgraded with puffer sleeves or declined in a sportswear style or woven , the crop top is definitely needed in spring-summer 2021.
